What Musang King actually is →The undisputed king of durians. Rich, creamy, bittersweet flesh with an intense aroma. Deep golden colour with a thick, custard-like texture that melts on the tongue.
Premium Black Thorn
Ochee (D200)
What Black Thorn actually is →The rare gem of the durian world. Deep orange flesh with a complex flavour profile, sweet, slightly alcoholic, with roasted almond undertones. Highly sought after by connoisseurs.
D24
Sultan
What D24 actually is →A well-balanced classic beloved for its smooth, creamy texture and mild bittersweet taste. Paler flesh compared to Musang King, with a gentler aroma, perfect for newcomers.
Red Prawn
Ang Heh / Hong Xia (D175)
What Red Prawn actually is →Reddish-orange flesh, sweet and mildly sticky with caramel notes and very little bitterness. Small to medium seeds. Worth knowing: much of what is sold as Red Prawn in Singapore is D13 from Johor, not the Penang D175.
Connoisseur's Pick XO
D24 selection, not a registered clone
What XO actually is →Named after the premium spirit for its distinctly alcoholic, fermented taste. Pale yellow flesh that is slightly watery yet intensely flavourful. An acquired taste that rewards the adventurous.
Golden Phoenix
Kim Hong / Jin Feng (D198)
What Golden Phoenix actually is →Small seeds, generous flesh. A smooth, creamy variety with a balanced sweetness and subtle bitter finish. Light golden colour with a pleasant, less pungent aroma.
Musang Queen
Tekka / Green Bamboo (D160)
What Musang Queen actually is →The elegant counterpart to the King. Creamy, sweet flesh with less bitterness than Musang King, making it the perfect crowd-pleaser. Consistently excellent quality.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best durian variety for beginners?
D24, also sold as Sultan, is the easiest place to start. Creamy, mildly bittersweet, and gentler on the nose than Musang King. At SGD 32 per kg it is the cheapest premium clone we carry, and it has the longest season, June through September.

Musang King (D197) is rich, bittersweet and deep gold, at SGD 58 per kg. Black Thorn (D200) is rarer and SGD 68 per kg, with deeper orange flesh and a more complex flavour. Musang King comes from Pahang, Black Thorn from Penang.
How Musang King is graded and priced →When is durian season in Singapore and Malaysia?
The main Malaysian season runs June to August and often into September, with July and August as the peak. A smaller second season runs roughly December to February. Pre-orders for the peak open in May, and supply outside the season is inconsistent.
Where the 2026 season stands right now →How should I store durian after delivery?
Fresh durian should be eaten within 2 to 4 hours of delivery. If you need to store it, wrap the flesh tightly in cling wrap, put it in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Freezing extends that to 1 or 2 months but softens the texture. Never put a whole unopened durian in the fridge, the smell gets into everything. Our team can open and portion your durians at delivery on request.
How do I tell real Red Prawn (D175) from D13?
Much of what is sold as Red Prawn in Singapore is D13, a Johor variety, rather than the Penang clone D175. Both are good durians and D13 is not a fake, but only one of them is the Penang original. There are three checks you can do yourself on any stall.
